The world really spins. If, sometimes, it becomes improved, it also turns to be worse as equally how it amends. People are getting selfish, uncontrolled and greedy. "Thou shalt not KILL!", a 5th commandment from God but as we have seen these days, people are being killed just as simple as killing a chicken for a meal.
Last November 23, 2009, the whole world has been shaken for the terrible news from Maguindanao - a certain place in Mindanao, Philippines. Souls flew immediately right after they were fired by the unknown gunmen who really waited for them at the particular place , not really far to where they're suppose to be going. According to the news, Genalyn Tiamzon - Mangudadatu, who was one of the unlucky victims, was on her way to file a nomination of her husband's. With her are some relatives and journalists who will be witnessing for the filing of candidacy of Esmael Mangudadatu to fight for the governorship against Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr. Ampatuan has been elected governor three times previously, always unopposed - maybe because of the fear that lies ahead whoever will contest against him. A clear example was that the Maguindanao Massacre.
Justice. What does that word useful to, anyway? A third - world nation that is starving from good leaders and financially unstable can really be moved by the power of guns and money. As what I've heard from a teacher, Ampatuan is even illiterate, a can't - read - can't - write type of person and yet he had stepped on that hierarchy of political position? Poor people of Maguindanao. I even weren't aware of any bad traits to them not until this heinous crime has been made. Dead bodies were even up to 57 in number found and they were viciously graved using a back hoe for the rapid burying. "They were piled on top of each other. It looked like as if they were buried hurriedly.", Regional police commander Chief Superintendent Josefino Cataluna said. It's good to know that when a witness appeared and pointed Ampatuan as the leader of the well - planned killings, he readily submitted himself to the authorities from General Santos City by a helicopter to Manila. At first, watching at the news, I was really curious why he came to the public immediately. As far as I know for a typical suspected people, they would use all their money to escape from the country, as much as to go to other planet, but he made the contrary. I'm just wondering what kind of tactic is this because it's even impossible to believe that he really wants to clean his name that he didn't do the foolish act or claiming that early that he led the bullet - ridden bodies found at that area. (to lessen the years he has to pay at the prison?) But even his most brutal death is not enough if he really is the responsible for the massacre. God knows best how he's going to pay for it. I hope this unforgettable nightmare be a lesson to everyone and learn to play righteously and fair in politics.
They said it's clan rivalries that tops all these. The Mangadadatus and Ampatuans are enemy and in Muslim culture, they do the "redo" or "ubusan ng lahi", the one left alive wins. That's common in Mindanao. I maybe won't be surprised for this news but I think it's too much and should really be paid an attention. Journalists are really disrespected with their unjust deaths and a threat for everyone journalists to be. Elections in the Philippines are usually marred by violence, where security forces are battling communist rebels, Islamic radicals and clan rivalries.

The one that i hate about the Mindanao massacre is the DVD that the people sell. The victims still don't get there justice yet the people that should be sympathizing makes it a business. Show some respect, it makes me grrrr...
ReplyDeleteGood day!
ReplyDeleteIt is really heart-breaking to remember this Maguindanao killing. Its good that you have a main point to discuss with. You have as well a wide vocabulary.
Keep it up!
Clap...clap...clap...hehehehe..
ReplyDeletevery nice write up. I really was persuaded by your arguments it was great. Killing people is a very big sin and to kill for fame and money is much bigger. Politicians should learn how to play a clean competition. You chose a very good topic that have many references and that is very interesting to read. Nice Job.
God Bless lag................
The world shunted down for a moment about this terrible news in Mindanao. Killing people is an awful thing to do. But, people killed them like a bug squeezing it. They used money as the main weapon of all things. And the power of money is very unstoppable because it tempts around these assassins. How shameful.
ReplyDeleteFeel free to comment in my blog, Milag! Thank a lot. Üü
The inhumanity of the most civilized creatures. tsk2... What's the world coming to if even an illiterate can command a mass murder. Oh well, I give my sympathy to those who were deeply affected.

ReplyDeleteyaah... you truly are good in writing. I get tired reading your whole article but it's worth reading. It really hurts remembering victims of this inhuman killing. Suspects should be punish now the same way the victims were killed
